Mandorpampa - Machupicchu 2 Days / 1 Nights

Exploring Machupicchu in the early morning before the day trippers arrive allows you time to really appreciate this impressive landscape surrounded by mountains, rivers, water falls and valleys of abundant vegetation.

Day 1.

An early morning start from your hotel, setting off by train to Aguas Calientes, passing through colorful towns, Andean pampas, plateaus and following the banks of the Urubamba river for approximately 4 hours. After lunch at an inn we start our trek from the valley of Mandorpampa taking time to appreciate the flora and fauna of the area, from orchids, fruit plantations, cock of the rocks, etc. Our final destination today is the museum of Machupicchu where we can find human remains discovered throughout archaeological excavations to the present day. We return to our hotel in Aguas Calientes in the evening for dinner.

Day 2.

After breakfast we will take the first bus to Machupicchu, our professional guided visit of the city of Machupicchu is approximately 2-3 hours, after which there is free time to explore the Puente del Inca ( the Inca bridge), Inti Punku (the sun gate) and Huaynapicchu. This world heritage site is truly spectacular, surrounded by mountains and forest. After our visit we return to Aguas Calientes by bus then train to Cusco in the evening.
